These Community Guidelines (“Guidelines”) supplement our Terms of Service and outline the standards of conduct expected from all members. - Intimacy Over Publicity: This is not a stage for self-promotion or broadcasting. It is a sanctuary for genuine exchange among equals.
- No Commercial Activity: Praestantes is explicitly not a marketplace. Discussions of buying, selling, pricing, auctions, or commercial transactions involving art are prohibited.
2. Expected Conduct – Be a Positive Contributor
We encourage members to:
- Engage thoughtfully and substantively on topics related to contemporary art, artistic process, vision, inspiration, and the broader cultural landscape.
- Share original insights, experiences, or works in a manner that enriches the community.
- Offer constructive feedback when appropriate, always with kindness and respect.
- Celebrate the achievements and visions of fellow members.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and collegiality.
3. Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors are strictly forbidden and may result in content removal, warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent revocation of membership:
- Breaches of Confidentiality: Sharing, screenshotting, quoting, or disclosing any content, member identities, conversations, or information from the Platform to non-members (including on social media, email, or any other channel) without explicit prior written consent from all involved parties and Praestantes.
- Commercial or Promotional Activity: Any form of buying, selling, auctioning, commissioning for commercial gain, price discussions, or self-promotion of artworks, galleries, services, or external opportunities.
- Harassment, Abuse, or Discrimination: Personal attacks, bullying, hate speech, discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic. This includes derogatory comments, doxxing, or targeted negativity.
- Inappropriate Content: Posting material that is illegal, obscene, pornographic, violently graphic, defamatory, or otherwise harmful or offensive.
- Intellectual Property Violations: Posting content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other rights of third parties. Always give proper credit and only share what you have the right to share.
- Spam or Off-Topic Posts: Excessive self-referential posting, repetitive content, advertising, or discussions unrelated to the Platform’s artistic focus.
- Disruption or Circumvention: Interfering with the Platform’s operation, using bots or automation, attempting to access restricted areas, or evading moderation.
- Misrepresentation: Providing false information about your identity, qualifications, or artistic practice, or impersonating others.
4. Content Standards
- All content you post (“User Content”) must align with the Platform’s values of discretion and excellence.
- You retain ownership of your content but grant Praestantes the licenses described in the Terms of Service.
- We do not actively moderate every post in real time but reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any content that violates these Guidelines or the Terms of Service.
- Respect others’ privacy: Do not request or share personal contact information unless mutually agreed upon in a private context, and even then, exercise caution.
5. Reporting and Enforcement
